Multifunctional Center – Jeunesse au Soleil

Mandate for asbestos removal and complete deconstruction of a set of 4-story commercial buildings, located in the heart of Boulevard Saint-Laurent and Faillon Street, directly adjacent to public property.
This project involved complex structural demolition, with the major constraint of preserving the integrity of adjoining buildings that were to remain.

Challenges and Issues:

• Dense urban environment with high traffic
• Immediate proximity to neighboring buildings that had to be preserved
• Work on the edges of public property, requiring enhanced safety measures
• Close coordination with the City and other project stakeholders

Results:

• Deconstruction work carried out with precision and efficiency
• No structural impact on adjacent buildings
• Site prepared for the construction of the new multifunctional center for Jeunesse au Soleil
