Opening of an Underground Pedestrian Tunnel

As part of an urban redevelopment project, Demospec was mandated to deconstruct a pedestrian tunnel located approximately 20 meters underground, connecting a metro station to an adjacent building. This tunnel, no longer in use, needed to be dismantled to free up space and allow for a new site configuration.

Our teams faced the challenge of performing:

• Precision sawing in a confined and difficult-to-access environment;
• Controlled lifting of massive concrete sections, with rigorous logistics;
• Technical drilling to separate the structure without compromising surrounding installations.

This project demonstrates our ability to operate with precision, safety, and efficiency, even in the most complex underground environments.
